Production Manager

Alaskan Campers is an innovative and unique camper manufacturer based out of Winlock, Washington. We create industry leading, custom-made truck campers that are engineered for every adventure. 

THE POSITION

We’re looking for a dynamic Production Manager to take charge of our manufacturing operations. In this pivotal role, you’ll oversee the entire production floor, manage and mentor shop staff, enforce safety protocols, and drive quality and efficiency across all processes.

TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Production Oversight: Supervise all aspects of production to ensure daily output meets quality, delivery, and KPI targets. Use data and analytics to monitor performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Team Leadership: Manage, coach, and support shop staff while fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and data-informed decision-making.
  • Production Planning: Collaborate with leadership to align staffing and resources with production schedules and customer demand. Leverage forecasting tools and historical data to optimize planning.
  • Process Implementation: Implement and enforce standardized, data-backed processes across fabrication, assembly, and quality control. Ensure consistency and scalability through SOPs and best practices.
  • Process Compliance: Monitor adherence to SOPs and work instructions. Use data to detect deviations and implement corrective actions to maintain process integrity.
  • Performance Management: Conduct regular performance evaluations using objective metrics and KPIs. Provide actionable feedback to support employee growth and productivity.
  • Safety Management: Promote and enforce a strong safety culture. Monitor safety KPIs and ensure compliance with OSHA and internal safety standards through process audits and training.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • 4-7 years of experience leading in a manufacturing or construction environment.
  • Experience leading a team of people is a must.
  • Higher education a plus.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

  • Regularly required to stand; walk; sit; crouch; use hands and arms to finger, handle, feel, or carry; reach with hands and arms.
  • Occasionally required to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Regularly required to talk or hear; read and identify numbers
  • Regularly required to apply sound reasoning and logic performing daily tasks.
  • Occasionally required to climb or balance or stoop; kneel, and crawl.
  • Regularly required to work in production warehouse with varying temperatures and exposure to noise.
  • On Site work schedule, business located in Winlock, Washington

Schedule/Hours:

  • Monday through Friday, 7am to 3:30pm with some flexibility, occasional weekend work may be necessary
  • Full-time

Compensation and Pay Status:

  • Base salary in the range of $75,000k - $82,000 per year, DOE
  • Health Insurance Reimbursement for Employees
  • PTO - 6 days per year
